Let one of our lactation experts work one-on-one with you to get you off to the best possible start and support you through every stage of nursing. Our lactation consultants will help you to achieve proper positioning and latch technique as well as work together to create a breastfeeding and/or pumping plan tailored to your needs.

• Free 10 minute breastfeeding screenings.
• Free baby weight checks on Mondays through Fridays from 9am-5pm.
• Certified bra fittings on Mondays through Fridays from 9am-5pm.
• Drop-in lactation consultations, available on Mondays from 12pm-4pm and on Wednesdays from 10am-5pm, and other times by appointment.

Other Lactation Services

• Prenatal evaluation and education for all mothers including those who may have "high risk" pregnancies.
• Prenatal evaluation and consultation for women with flat or inverted nipples or breast augmentation/reduction.
• Breastfeeding support for single, twin, or triplet babies--even adoptions.
• Expert support and care for nursing infants with medical needs.
• Private breastfeeding classes, prenatal consults, and postpartum consults are available by appointment with Laurel.

Support and Education

One of the unique features of the Boutique is the availability of an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant on staff to provide free information and consultation. We also offer several breastfeeding classes and have a breastfeeding mother's support group led by Flossie Rollhauser, IBCLC.

Breastfeeding Mothers' Group
For pregnant, new and experienced moms with nurslings of any age. Come ask questions, share experiences and support other moms. Babies and toddlers welcome. There is a topic each month, but we are flexible.

Breastfeeding Basics
Explore the advantages of breastfeeding and learn if breastfeeding is right for you. Other issues surrounding this feeding method will also be discussed.

Breastpumping 101
How, when, why and where to pump. Choosing the pump that is right for your needs (one size does not fit all). Tips on preparing for and managing your return to work, working with your child care provider and reaching your personal breastfeeding goals. Breastfeeding Basics class or previous successful breastfeeding experience a pre-requisite; class can be taken before or after baby arrives.
